Samsung India has teamed up with its subsidiary, NeuroLogica, to bring a new range of mobile CT (Computed Tomography) scanners to India. These scanners are designed to make advanced medical imaging easier to access in hospitals, operating rooms, emergency departments, and even intensive care units. The main goal is to help doctors provide better care to patients everywhere, especially in places that do not have expensive medical equipment.

A Mobile Solution for Hospitals
The new lineup includes CereTom Elite, OmniTom Elite, OmniTom Elite PCD, and BodyTom 32/64. These scanners are mobile and powered by batteries, so they can be used without the need for complicated installation or major changes in hospital infrastructure. The machines also use AI technology, which helps doctors get faster and more accurate results, improving the way hospitals care for patients.
Features of the New Mobile CT Scanners
The CereTom Elite is an 8-slice CT scanner. It has a 32cm patient opening and a 25cm field of view (FOV), and it runs on a battery that lasts up to 2 hours. It is simple to use and designed for quick imaging. The OmniTom Elite is even more advanced. It provides ultra high resolution scans with a 40cm patient opening and a 30cm FOV. The battery lasts 1.5 hours. This scanner helps surgeons work more efficiently.
For example, some neurosurgery procedures, which earlier could take 8–10 hours to complete, can now be performed in as little as 2 hours with the help of these mobile CT scanners. This is a huge improvement in efficiency and allows doctors to spend more time focusing on patient care rather than waiting for imaging results.
Surgeons can also take scans immediately after surgery, right there in the operating room, without moving the patient. This helps them quickly identify any complications, such as internal bleeding or other issues, and take immediate corrective action if needed.
By spotting problems early, these scanners increase patient safety, reduce recovery time, and lower the chances of needing additional or follow up surgeries. Overall, this technology not only makes surgeries safer but also gives doctors confidence that they can provide the best care possible in a shorter amount of time.
The OmniTom Elite PCD uses a new photon-counting detector technology. This helps produce even better images, reduces errors, and makes it easier to see small details in scans. The BodyTom 32/64 is made for full-body imaging. It has a 32/64-slice capacity, an 85cm patient opening, a 60cm FOV, and a battery that can last up to 12 hours on standby. This makes it great for scanning patients anywhere in the hospital without worrying about power.
Making Advanced Imaging Accessible
With this new range of mobile CT scanners, Samsung India is helping hospitals bring high-quality imaging to more patients, even in smaller cities or rural areas. Doctors can now perform advanced scans quickly, safely, and anywhere in the hospital, improving patient care and saving valuable time. Samsung’s mobile CT products are a big step forward in making advanced healthcare easier, faster, and more accessible for everyone in India.
